so i was decorating it up to look real nice here is a few screen shots of it.

the lab is still getting worked on at the moment.

well i had fun last night bought a airship/sub.
it was a fancy one so in a friends place we checked you the underwater reef.

then following that we went fishing in his pond.

all in all the place is real fun :)

ok i found two bugs and made them repeat themselves many times. so instead of filling out a bug report that will end up in a bin someplace im putting it here along with pic proof.

first was the worst... random times i had it happen when my chat got corrupted to a point where everyone can see it. it corrupted the skin and all that i wear. or so it looked like a corruption...
i found out the SL viewer has an issue on the mac version when the mac animated dock is in view all the time and the screen is pushed up a bit.

i tested this many times now and auto hiding the dock and stretching the window to full and rebake textures fixes this.. so this is some odd resolution/conflict with the 3d dock.

here is a photo what it looks like.

these bugs can be fixed easily i seen em before in other games.
and yes i do have game design experience. if any staff are forwarded here that see this and are in game i would like to have a chat with you.. this affects game play and should be priority 1.

heh ohh well ill end the post here before i start getting frustrated.

remember setting your dock on autohide and stretching your window full screen fixes this.

now another matter..
another bug i found is the multithreading mode in the game using the advanced menu. this keeps the mac nice and cool but on some systems like mine that is the new macbook it has a major flaw.
i have 2 video card modes in it. the NVIDIA 9400 and NVIDIA 9600. both are easy to switch back and fourth. and both give the same error result in multithreading. i would go to an area. and alot of the textures fail to load. to the point where you are waiting hours for the area to load.. the only way to get it to load is to move the mouse pointer over things. remember when that is off everything is fine.

This time, they found their way to Diagon Alley...

After entering a door (that they weren't sure they were supposed to discover), Rif and HollyAnn find themselves in Diagon Alley.

Holly looked around, "Wow, it's like we just stepped into a Harry Potter book or something! Must be an off-day, there's no one here." Rif was starting to get curious, "Well, that means we've got the place to ourselves then! Let's go look around!"

And so, the two foxes began looking around, sight-seeing the many shops. One of the places they visited was a spellbook store. "Going to get any?" asked Rif. "Nah, " Holly responded, "What would I do with a spellbook?"

They wandered further the alley when something seemed to have caught Rif's eye. "Oh! Oh oh oh oh oh! Looky what I've found!!" "What is it?" Holly cocked an eyebrow...and then turned to see Rif pressing himself against the window of a shop. Looking up, Holly saw the sign "The Wizard's Den", and looking back at Rif, "Oh no...you didn't just find something to do chemistry and alchemy...did you??" He nodded vigorously at her, "Just a quick look!!" And in he ran into the shop, Holly following behind, just shaking her head...

Rif sat himself down at the alchemist table, pouring over the whole set up while Holly looked around the store, keeping an eye on Rif, and half looking for the shop owner, in case something should happen...

Of course, the one time Holly had her eyes off of Rif, a mischievious grin came across his snout, and he folded his hands in anticipation. "Now, let's see what this baby can do!"

Ka-BOOOOOOOM!!! Holly ducked behind a cauldron once the explosion hit, "RIF!! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Off in the distance were the sounds of police whistles...Rif, who was patting out the debris (and a couple tiny flames) from his fur and straightening it out, thought it might be a good idea to move along. And Holly followed...to make sure he doesn't get into more trouble!

Further on down the alley, they ducked into a carpet shop, where Rif still continued to pat the soot and debris out of his fur. "You just HAD to touch that alchemy stuff, didn't you?!" Holly complained. "What? We're still alive, aren't we?"

Shortly after that, the Alley police entered the shop alongside with the owner of the Wizard's Den, where, seeing Rif was still a little messed up from the explosion, the shop owner identified Rif as the one who blew up his shop. Unfortunately, I don't have any screenshots of Rif getting carted away by the police. But it looks like I'll be playing the Zyngo machines for a while until I can win enough money to bale Rif out of the jail =P

well i recently discovered second life.. after a few friends help and camping for a while i got a nice avatar. im slowly making it look more like my costume it will be slow tho. :P

well i got my mac a few days back.. i was bringing it up to par with all the stuff i use here.

and yes its running both winXP and mac at the same time. i set it to use my mac firewall so xp has more resources. ill me doing some internet on
XP and mabey gameing since i can now run 3d games in it.. WOOHOO!

but yeah was fun testing it so far.. im going to wait until i move my dsl over to it for a bit since i got to run the cable through the floor to my room.

i would take a picture but my sister has the camera. ill get one soon enough tho. and yes this thing is better than a pc. no crashes or anything.. if windows flips out i tell it to either close or restore before the crash. nice features in that :)

well i was real busy testing ans saveing arcade games onto cd.
some of them are real nice and most of them you never seen around here.

like this one.

mind you on my computer its all full screen. but they are mega fun. so far up to 10 cd's full of games. once done ill load them all on the computer and there will be years of fun there :)

home made PSP batterypack

well i did another mod and this one is a nice one. not only do i have to worry about Li-Ion batteries no more but i stretched the runtime of this thing to over 22 hours.
i get that much time since i turn the psp off at the battery pack itself. so i dont use its sleep mode. with sleepmode for some games hours are cut down a bit.

here is a photo of the patch.

and yes my psp is hacked and i can run almost anything on it.. i have all consoles on it now. plus an amiga computer emulator so it can be used as a pocket computer now as well. :)

and if the batteries die i just replace them with ones allready charged up.. i do a mass charge all at once and im good for a few months.

i recently seen this real nice laptop from asus and well looking at it at what it comes with looked cool.. what was even better is that this thing can run win XP!!!

i was like yes! finally. whats best is its cheap. $200 to $450 depending what you need or want on it. like memory upgrades etc.

what i would need is the basic unit and a external dvd reader and writer and im happy.
whats better is this thing is fast.. its 900mhz.. same as mine i have now. but this thing runs circles around mine.. so they did some tweaking.

thats the fastest i seen yet. well on that speed.

i seen other demo videos of people playing WoW and others stuff at real good framerates.
now this im actually thinking of getting before i hit the mac. they finally made something that seems good and toss vista out in the garbage!!

dont let the size fool you it can run full 3d games. i seen that thing in action. despite what media says.
even seen one running the mac os lepoerd. so its basicly a tiny PC. what you can load on it i guess its up to you. :)

for me it would be a replacement for this big clunker of a boat ancor i got now.

my test alkaline batteries charged!

well i tested and charged all my alkaline batteries now.
here is a picture what i used.

it has a max charge of 160Ma so it wont destroy the batteries. works real well i did a 5 hour charge today in 2 of these chargers. and im still playing them in my cd plater now.. going for about 1 hour 30 min. and its still full.. so i suspect the battery is about 80% full after this type of charge.
you can never tell how strong these type of batteries usally are so i just go by Ma time.. ill just keep it at a max 5 hours.. if it discharges fast then ill leave them in longer.

but yes it works :) and no special chargers needed. like i told someone else in the older post he was pushing another charger that sucks. i tried those other alkaline chargers before and they are usally junk.. most of the time never working fueling the big companys even more.
all the cells i used were completely flat.. no power at all!! and this brought em back as if they were new.

so yeah im happy.

Hooked on old time radio

well im still hooked on the old radio shows from the 30's to the late 60's
and best of all that they are all free over the internet.
my collections of those are mostly all complete with about 70,000 shows on my cd's
here is a sample of one of them. the most wacky one of them all LOL

there you go that would keep alot of you busy for some time. thise things are way better than audio books. the mystery ones are ok. and well i find these better than most tv shows now. gets your imagination working rather than drooling in front of the tube.

and well i tested it on a dead cell i have here. i used a real low and slow charger for this. my old solar one that has a max current of 180Ma

and you know what it frekin works. however its advized you leave it in for about an hour in and hour out. since these batteries hate heat from the charging cycle. im going to have to see how many cycles i can toss the battery in before it gives way. but yeah keeping the charging current low helps.

and here the battery companys say you cant recharge them.. PFFFTTT!!

well this was possably the most fun i had in a real long time.
most of the people there never expected me to be there in full costume. but yep.

alot were amazed on the realism of the head and almost fanted when i was talking since they never expected the mouth to move. so some kids were again scared for life running off to hug mom's legs. LOL
im uploading the pictures that are on my camera.. there was more taken with my friend there as well as some video.. but that might come out down the road since we might make a video out of the rest of it.
one of the ladies there wanted to spin my tail with the spinning wheels as well. :P

a bit of an update yeah the name will need to be changed. :(
i had some help looking through it and well it resembles the game char too much.. so well im going to be collecting orignal names soon. and will pick from there.. short ones usally work best.

hehe hollyann will be an orphan now LOL

ill still be the same tho. same personality etc but with a diffrent name. heh alor of work renameing my IM's etc but it will be a bit like spring cleaning.

so all ill be taking ideas for new names. :)
