well i came across this nice article.

http://www.afrotechmods.com/reallycheap/batteries/batts.htm

and well i tested it on a dead cell i have here. i used a real low and slow charger for this. my old solar one that has a max current of 180Ma

and you know what it frekin works. however its advized you leave it in for about an hour in and hour out. since these batteries hate heat from the charging cycle. im going to have to see how many cycles i can toss the battery in before it gives way. but yeah keeping the charging current low helps.

and here the battery companys say you cant recharge them.. PFFFTTT!!

Battery Xtender

You can recharge your disposable alkaline batteries safely and effectively using a unit designed to do just that and more. See www.BatteryXtender.com

Re: Battery Xtender

i read the specs on that device before. it will not recharge tottaly flat alkalines.

the way i mentioned with charge them from flat to 80%
and if you yse a pulse charger around 80 to 400Ma you might get more.. they just need to be looked after.
i choose low charge rates to prevent leaks .

i tried all sorts of alkaline chargers. all dont work.. from the old ed mcman ones to pure energy to this one. they all claim to recharge batteries and just top them off only!!
im talking about a full recharge.. no top offs.
